WebMar 29, 2011 · In my opinion, the oriifice coming out of your tank valve is 1/2 to 5/8 inch max. You can put 1" ID line on it and it won't make any difference at all in the end result. If your propane doesn't freeze up on you, I see no reason why 1/2" or 5/8" ID pipe wouldn't run anything you have on the line.
